Vapes, also referred to as e-cigarettes, have enjoyed popularity since around 2005. The were invented in 2003 in China by a smoker called Hon Lik. He was a heavy smoker, whose father was also a smoker, but fell victim to lung cancer. The determination to substitute harmful tobacco, containing the very harmful drug nicotine, gave way to the welcomed invention.
