During these challenging times it has become apparent as the weeks have gone by, how resourceful we can all be.
Families and friends have been isolated for long periods of time all over the world. Home life has become central as 'The Lockdown' strategy continues to be in place.
Initially it was thought or assumed that this would be for a short period, while Governments all over the world try to contain Covid 19, the pandemic that has swept across the world in recent months.
As the weeks roll by there is still a lot of uncertainty as to when daily life will get 'back to normal' as we know it. Although many changes will be made going forward to keep us all healthy and safe.
At a time when we are confined it can be said that after a short while we become bored, life becomes mundane.
Alas, it has been interesting to watch how the human race have adapted to their new situation.
People across the world wide web and other media, have shown what skills and talents they have. Some people are surprising themselves at what they are achieving.
As shortages of certain staple foods are inevitable at a time like this, we are now producing our own, and baking is a new favourite thing to do.
Bread is one of the main foods people across the world can relate to. There are many different types of bread, some specific to certain cultures.
However, ingredients can be scarce at the moment. Flour supplies can be difficult to source.
There are recipes that don't actually require flour. Cloud bread is one of them and is a popular choice among those who are gluten intolerant too.
My recipe for cloud bread is delicious.
I often advocate the use of CBD flowers or oil in our cooking. CBD (cannabidiol) is very versatile when incorporating into culinary dishes.
CBD flowers blend well into my cloud bread recipe. CBD is of course non-psychoactive, which means it will not get you 'high'!
CBD flowers and oil are a great supplement to include in our diets. Studies and testimonies of CBD flowers and oils reveal it's healing properties, and there are many. From dealing with inflammation, (great for arthritis sufferers), to epilepsy, it would be rude to leave it out!
So without further ado here's my special recipe :
You will need : 3 eggs, 3 tablespoons of cream cheese, 1/2 tsp. icing sugar, good pinch of salt, 1 tbsp. of CBD flowers
So, separate the eggs. Whisk up the whites of the eggs until they form a peak. In a separate bowl, whisk up the cream cheese, egg yolks, sugar, and salt. Then gently fold this mixture into the egg white mixture.
Grease a baking tray. Then spoon equal amounts onto the tray. (Say big cookie size).
Pop them into a preheated oven. (130/fan 150/no fan), for around 30 minutes, depending on your oven, when they will turn a lovely golden colour.
This is a great way of getting CBD into our diets. You can of course use more or less, depending on personal preference and palate. Flavoured cream cheese can also be used, different herbs too.
