CBD - What's The Difference Between Full and Broad Spectrum

CBD (cannabidiol) is a compound produced from the hemp plant.  Cannabidiol was discovered in 1940 and the hemp plant can yield up to 40% of CBD in cultivation.

Recent years have brought an overwhelming popularity of CBD and it's subsequent products.  CBD products such as oil, flowers, edibles, pre-rolls and vapes are now being sought by many because of their beneficial health attributes.

The list of ailments CBD can help with is ever-growing as people try to remedy their particular problem.  It is fast becoming a 'cure all' supplement that is gaining trust the world over.

How we prefer to experience CBD is entirely a personal preference.  Those who smoke tobacco generally like to smoke pre-rolls.  Pre-rolls are CBD flowers ground down and encased in unbleached paper.  Those who like to vape can use CBD oil as opposed to their normal vaping oil, to experience the benefits.  Also, as with vaping oils, CBD oil is available in various flavours.

Adding CBD oil or CBD flowers into food or drink is a great option as there are many ways to incorporate it into a diet.  It is easy to add CBD oil or CBD flowers into soups, salads, dressings, baking, etc.

There are now a range of CBD edibles available which include things like chocolate, tea, mints, lollipops and gummies. Convenient and pleasant, they are a good way to have a daily dose of CBD.

CBD oil can be taken directly under the tongue from a dropper bottle.  A few drops daily will see some positive results.

There are now a growing number of suppliers of CBD products.  Available not only on the high street, but also online from the comfort of our armchair.  Knowing which brand or potency to choose can be baffling.

The recommended and legal level of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) present in CBD oil is no more than 0.3%.  Any higher than this it is believed can cause a psychoactive effect.

European Regulations and Guidelines consistently monitor the CBD market to ensure that not only is legislation adhered to, but that the cultivation process is safe.

Other terms to become familiar with are 'Full Spectrum' and 'Broad Spectrum' when buying CBD oil.

Full Spectrum is known to contain all the compounds of the hemp plant, i.e. flavonoids, terpenes and cannabinoids.  THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is also present, but no more than 0.3%, so very slight amounts.

Broad Spectrum contains the same compounds as Full Spectrum, but there is no THC present.  Broad Spectrum CBD oil can control specific cannabinoid ratios, it is consistent with each crop yield.  It gives the user confidence and assurance that no THC is present.

Choosing Broad Spectrum will ensure there is no risk of any psychoactive effect, which may comfort some users of this supplement.

Whichever way you choose to include this amazing supplement in your daily routine, rest assured CBD use will be a positive experience.
